Step by Step method

Directions:

1. Melt the butter in a pot and fry the onions over medium heat until wilts and golden- brown color.

2. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, black pepper, cinnamon stick and salt plus two liters of water.

3. When the mixture starts to boil, reduce the heat and simmer for 60 minutes (make sure to cover the pot)

4. Add the rice (check if there was a need for more water), then leave it over low heat for about 30 minutes and serve it hot.


Tips & variations

  • You can add a pinch of Saffron, Parsley, or dried mint on the top of the soup for decoration. This will enhance the taste and flavor.
