Lentil soup is popular in middle east, India , and worldwide, each country has its own recipe of this tasty, healthy soup. for Palestinians and Mid-Easterns, it is the official soup of Ramadan.

Step by Step method

  1. Rinse lentil. 
  2. Move to a saucepan over high heat.
  3. Add onion and water. bring to boil.
  4. Reduce the heat to medium.
  5. Rinse rice and add into the mix.
  6. Cook for 20 minutes , add some water if needed. 
  7. Meanwhile, fry bread with butter or oil. or you can roast it on grill.
  8. In a small bowl, mix Lemon juice, Olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic,and cumin.
  9. Pour over the soup, and mix.
  10. pour the soup in a serving bowl, garnish with bread.

Tips & variations

  • You can control the thickness of the soup by increasing or decreasing the water.

  • You can blend the soup by food processor or blender.
