Step by Step method

Directions:

1. Combine butter, eggs, vanilla powder and sweetened condensed milk in a bowl. Beat until well combined.

2. Add semolina, self raising flour, corn flour, baking powder, almond and lemon zest. Beat until smooth dough is formed. Cover with cling film and chill for 2 and 1/2 hours.

3. Form the dough into small balls and deep fry in 170°C hot oil until golden brown.

4. Dip the balls into the syrup for 2-3 minutes then remove and place in a serving dish.
